Washington National Cathedral

The Washington National Cathedral is the most recognized cathedral from Washington DC and it is also the sixth largest cathedral from all over the world.
The building of the Cathedral started in September 1907 whose architect was Philip Hubert Frohman and it was completed in 1990 September again.
At the Washington National Cathedral came often two Presidential state funerals: Dwight Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan, and Woodrow Wilson.
Its style was adopted after the Gothic architectural sculptures, with flying buttresses, vaulted ceilings, stained-glass windows, mosaics ,wood carvings and the most important: three similar towers.
The area where the Washington National Cathedral is situated has around 230,000 square meters being located in the northwest Washington DC.
About the height of the building we can say that it is 115 meters above sea level.
A very important Christian symbolism with historical events of the city will be always visited by tourists from every corner of the world.

It looks just like one of the old cathedrals from England.
