Vondelpark is considered a very famous and the largest park in Amsterdam, as well as in the Netherlands. Annually, the park is visited by no less than 10 million visitors. For tourists who come here for the first time, they should know how to orientate on it. The park is nearby the Quarter Museum and in the south part of Leidseplein.

People who come here use it for lounging, socialization and free, exercise, concerts in air or even theatres in summer. Than is the best moment to visit the Vondelpark. During summer time, the theatres are free to the public 5 days per week.

The park is quite a popular place for tourists. Young children have even their own play area where they could rent skate.

The park has been existing since 1864 and in 1877 year Vondelpark was enlarged once the number of tourists has increased. The park’s name was given after the famous Dutch poet, Joost van den Vondel.
It is also an attraction where you can enjoy the nature with natural vegetation and several paths in the center of Amsterdam city. Being built in 1850 and since it has been existing, the Amsterdam’s park offers travellers a large variety of activities such as jogging, biking or picnicking.
