The Rodin Museum
Rodin Museum is a very renowned museum by the frech sculptor, Auguste Rodin. It is also situated in the Biron hotel which was built between 1728-1731. The Biron hotel is not as easy to be accessed as it seems. The musuem hosts some of the most important works of this author, including The Thinker and the Kiss’ works who probably have the most renowned family pieces.
His works are exhibited not only in the interior of the musuem, they are even in its gardens. The famous museum is also a chamber of works dedicated by Camille Claudel artist. In its area, the museum has a beautiful lake where tourists could enjoy it. Every traveller who loves the Auguste Rodin’s works should consider this museum as a must see attraction. Auguste Rodin lived between 1840-1917 and he was a preeminent French sculptor of his time. With his modern sculptures, Auguste Rodin’s works expressed something very realistic, not as his predecessors did this.
The Rodin Museum is located in an 18th century mansion, the old buildding where the grand artist lived someday. The building belonged to the Catholic church and after that, to the Paris’ city. Totally, the great artist Auguste Rodin owns more than 5,000 sculptures. But the most important landmark is the The Rodin Museum which is opened every day for tourists. The museum hosts besides the artist’s works several lectures, classes and many events for young children to make them understand what do they really see.
