The Little Mermaid statue

The Little Mermaid is a very important and attractive statue of Copenhagen made in 1913 by the sculptor Edvard Erichsen. Thstatuee bronze statue “The Little Mermaid” which has 1.25 meters high and 175 kilos is situated on the entrance of the Copenhagen city. Even if the statue was rebuilt of several times, it remains in Copenhagen’s history dating since 1913.There is not just a legend, there’s a lot which turn the mermaid’s life into something magical, waiting to be discovered.Nowadays is said that the mermaid turned into a statue waiting for his real love, the prince.It is also said that in 2010 the statue will be moved to Shanghai to an exhibiton.
It is a real attraction for travellers from all over the world even if you see that the statue is situated just on a great stone.Its name is also recognized through Disney which produced a movie with it. Copenhagen continue to maintain a statue in her honour, a statue which remains one of the most populat tourist attractions from Europe, even from the whole world.The Little Mermaid was for several times painted in pink, green and also inspired from a Hans Christian Andersen story. Definetly, the relatively small size of the statue impressed the tourists who came to visit it for the first time.
