The Glass Museum
The Glass Museum is situated in in Italy, preciselly in the Palazzo Giustinian, nearby another important tourist attraction which is the Santa Maria Church and San Donato.
This museum is open to the public from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM in the period between December and February. In the other seasons the museum is opened with an hour longer; also opened every day, with exception on Wednesday.
- for tourists, the entrance tickets are 4,00 euros while 6,00 euros costs a ticket whose entrance combines the Glass Museum’s and the Lace Museum’s.
- at first, this museum was a palace used by bishops. Nowadays, this building hosts several collections of glass which are even from the 15th to the 20th century.
- the ex-palace was someday the residence of the bishops of Torcello. Many years later, the palace has become the city hall of Murano. Then, the Glass Museum turned into a civic museum of Venice.
-the building today has an impressive Gothic style, a building dedicated only to glass works.
-the collections of this museum have impressively increased being occupied today only with this kind of stuff.
- through the Renaissance period collections and many other, you will also find an archaeological section which hosts many exhibits from the necropolises of Enona.
