The Empire State Building
The Empire State Building is one of the most recognized symbol of New York city and the 
tallest skyscraper from all over the world until 1970, when another building took its place.
The top of the Empire State has famous coloured lights representing for its owners a great success, owing to their ambition to build towers tht can reach for the skies. Today, it was decided to become “green” for the reason to make the project to save 4.4 million dollars in the energy costs.
Even though today the Empire State Building is not the tallest from the world, it still being a symbol of the New York city. At its time, the skyscraper was called the eighth world wonder.
At the time it was built on Fifth Avenue, the Empire State Building broke all records and was dubbed ‘the 8th world wonder’. At the beginning, the building had 64 elevators, but now it has 102 and 1050 rooms. Its construction started in March 17 1930 and finished in May 1 1931 , one year later.
To make this attraction more impressive for travellers, there will be replaced around 6500 windows of the Empire State Building, the system of heating and air conditioning, showing how to reduce the consumption.
Empire State Building will be as famous as it was someday in New York city for inhabitants and tourists.
