The Place des Vosges
The Place des Vosges is known as being the oldest square from Paris and the most
beautiful from all around the world.
Coming back into the history of The Place des Vosges, in XVI century the King Henry IV built a Royal pavilion( or the King’s pavilion) which nowadays it is surrounded by buildings with red brick and white stone facades, steep slate roofs and dorm window. On the other side there is another pavilion built, the Queen’s pavilion.
The Place des Vosges is well known for tourists as a peaceful place, a wonderful central park surrounded by several shops, cafes where you can eat.
This place is very recognized because someday, here lived a very important man, Victor Hugo. Everybody would like to visit its old house and they think it is a perfect place to spend their holiday. Visiting The Place des Vosges, museums and many other renowned houses will allow you to have part of some unmissable sights.
