This bridge is found in the mountainous Lanzo area being known as the “Ponte del Diavolo”.

The Devil’s Bridge was also built in the 1300s and it also is rising above the level of the water with 15 meters hig. This thing is creating travelers around the world a sturdy passage from Mount Buriasco to Mount Mombasso.

There are many legends about this bridge that have swirled around it. When you see it, you will think of the legend of Dracula and many thing in your mind will ask you how the name of this bridge has come out.

Most of the stories claims the devil himself has built this bridge which wears his name. It was even built only in a single night in exchange for the sacrificial soul of a local resident.

In that moment, the authorities have decided to put a tax on wine to help the bridge being paid. The wine tax was known to remain in effect for around 10 years. Then the locals said “To hell with this bridge.”
Since then, the legend has stood along the years, even today…
