The Cultural Center of Belem in Lisbon is the most impressive cultural institution from Portugal and also from the whole Europe. With a total area of 100.000 square meters, the center is the creation of some important architects like Manuel Salgado. The interior was designed by Daciana Costa. Here you will find also the Belem Tower which represents for the city the entrance door. The tower was built between 1515 and 1521 by the Francisco de Arruda architect.
But what’s amazing and what makes the tower more attractive is the place where it is situated. Precisely, the tower is built on a little island, on the right side of Tagus river surrounded by water.Every tourist who come in Lisbon will not miss the chance to visit the great Belem Tower.

The most representative and the greatest symbol of Berlin has a very fascinating history. Built in 1791, the Brandenburg Gate has the model made after the Acropola from Athens. But what this monument has interesting is the Quadriga statue of the top, created by sculptor Gottfried Schadow.The statue represent  goddess of peace, Victoria, in a battle chariot pulled by four horses. Brandenburg Gate is recognized in Berlin and its history because of the great events which someday took place here.During the war, since 1806, France took the great sculpture and returned it after France lost the war.  Even if after 1950 it was affected, rebuilt for many times and the Berlin Wall took its place, the Brandenburg Gate Triumphal Arch remains as a symbol of the Cold War.
Nowadays, tourism here is very attractive, Brandenburg Gate’s structure has never been  considered so important from years.However, we could just say that the Brandenburg Gate was a Doric version of a Roman Triumphal Arch .That’s the reason why Berlin city is so attractive . Even though sometimes bag things happened, fortunately nobody was hurt and it will be organised in such a beautiful way many years from now.
