Thyssen-Bornemisza museum is considered the second in the Golden Triangle, comprising mainly of 20th century artifacts. It is known as part of the “Golden Triangle of Art”, that include the Museo del Prado and Queen Sofia galleries.

A visit to the Thyssen-Bornemisza equates to an intensive history course of Western art. If the Prado Museum visitors can admire almost exclusively works of Spanish art, at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum collection consists mainly of Flemish art, Italian or German.

History and origins of the museum tell the story of one of the most interesting private collections in the world, the most important of the twentieth century, that of August Thyssen (1842-1926), founder of Thyssen financial empire with roots in metallurgy, endowed with great sensitivity art. Wanting to have an impressive collection of sculpture, it turned to the most famous sculptor of the time, Auguste Rodin. German industrialist collection included a series of seven magnificent marble sculptures of French artist.

One of the attractions is the Italian Trecento and Quattrocento European painting and the Flemish painters works such as those belonging to Jan Van Eyck, Albrecht Dürer, Hans Holbein. Other attractions include the works of Renaissance and Baroque famous painters such as Titian, Sebastiano del Piombo, Caravaggio, Rubens, Van Dyck, Murillo, Rembrandt, with famous portraits signed by Vittore Carpaccio and Domenico Ghirlandaio.

In the impressionist painting Chapter there are remarked works of Claude Monet stands, Auguste Renoir or Vincent Van Gogh, complete collections of works of the 20th century.

A collection of works of this museum is housed in the National Art Museum of Catalunya, in Barcelona.

Qutub Minar in New Delhi is known to be the tallest brick minaret in the world, inspired by the Minaret of Jam in Afghanistan, a great example of the early Afghan architecture that later has evolved into another one, the Indo-Islamic architecture. Qutub Minar has aproximatelly 73 meters height,a diameter of 14.30 meters at the base and the top 2.75 meters and five separate floors each with a balcony and each one is on the UNESCO Heritage List with all buildings and monuments located surrounding.

It is a complex that dates back to the Muslim leaders attack in India and is a shining example of fine old architecture, the legacy of Islam. Construction began in 1193 after defeating the last Hindu king of Delhi. It is considered the tallest tower in the world without foundations.

The tower has five distinct levels all marked with a balcony. Inside are 379 steps. Different plans of the three lower floors, with balconies and buildings in the form of stalactites, and its inscriptions from the Koran, in Arabic, on the facade, enrich the decorative effect of the tower. First three floors are red stone, the 4th, and 5th in marble and stone.

Near Qutub Minar tower of sandstone there is the first mosque in the area traces, as shown by an inscription on the east gate, which was built with stone of some old Hindu temples which have been demolished. Other Indian buildings who escaped the disaster were completely destroyed by Timur Lenk, who sacked the city in 1398, killing over 100,000 people.

There are many other art treasures in this city, today a settlement with the modern airport, university, museums and theaters. Temples were built, even newer, such as the Lotus Temple, completed in 1986. People here have also raised a monument in memory of Mahatma Gandhi and the Indira Gandhi’s house, murdered in 1984, is a real place of pilgrimage.

Nicosia is the capital of Cyprus. This great attraction is known in our days as the Europe’s only divided city. The city today is very modern from different points of view: around you will find many elegant tree-lined suburbs, mostly tourists would prefer the old town which lately it has had several renovations.

The Nicosia city is divided in two: Turkish Cypriots in the north part and Greek Cypriots in the south.

Nowadays, Nicosia is known to have several department stores, many restaurants, malls and great museums to visit. The biggest city of Cyprus, Nicosia has a population of around 270 000 inhabitants.
Here, every visitor could receive a new and unique experience in their life. Be sure of that.

About the old town, we could say Nicosia was encircled by very strong fortress walls which were built in the sixteenth century. The old Nicosia also was mainly pedestrian-only.

But the city today has seriously become a well known cultural center, with has to offer a lot of facilities tourists from all over the world.

Museums are the unique attractions they could ever choose. The Cyprus Museum houses today very important collections of antiquities, treasures of Cyprus since the Roman Period. Another two great museums are the Jewels Museum and the Municipal Arts Center and Ethnological museum. They shouldn’t be missed.

The best outdoor activity is football, a very popular sport in Cyprus. But if you don’t want this, you can try another kind. A day of shopping in areas as Makarios Avenue, Stasikratous Street, Ledra Street. Take advantage of all these opportunities we can offer you.

Tourists around the world who are very excited to find out the main attractions of Marbella should take a break and prepare a couple of days for a marvelous holiday in one of the most popular tourist attraction of Spain.

At first, Marbella has some of the most beautiful beaches that offer tourists a variety of water sports and don’t miss the tennis and golf clubs.

There are a lot of attractions that each visitor must see it. If you like horse-riding, than don’t waste time and get to the Costa del Sol Equestrian Art School which is not so far away from Marbella.
If you would like to choose something else, then try the Selwo Animal Park which is practically a safari park where animals are kept in safe to not hurt adults and children.

As we said, Marbella has a lot of beaches to offer and a lot to choose from. Funny Beach and Paseo Maritimo are not some exceptions.

Funny Beach is a place where children can make many outdoor activities with motor bikes, boats or children’s cars. This beach has even a great restaurant and bar where families can eat a delicious barbecue food. But this beach is specific to kids when whey host their birthday.

The weather couldn’t be better than that. With plenty of sun and warm summer time, no raining in the afternoon, golden sandy beaches there is no doubt Marbella attracts more and more tourists around the world.

Another two attractions of the city are the Alameda Park and Murallas del Castillo.

Alemada Park is the place where you should go in the morning, with fresh air and shade trees for passers, jasmines and many other flowers. But two centuries ago, in the park there were no botanical species of plants planted. Now, the Alameda Park has around 20,000 sq. metres only with plants and sculptures of the great artist, Salvador Dali.

Murallas del Castillo is known to be the only building that remains even nowadays from the Muslim era. This castle was initially built in the tenth century and continued in the fourteenth century.

Throughout these centuries, people said a lot about the posible legends of the castle. There is even said that the old castle has some underground passages and secret doors. The castle measures now only 90 x 160 square meters. Unfortunately, tourists could not visit the castle inside of it.

The last landmark we have to mention is the Paseo Marítimo which stretches more than five kilometers. On both sides of this boardwalk you can see a plenty of palm trees, several buildings and mini shops. A promenade along this boardwalk makes you very delighted in any season of year.

The Atlanta History Center is a must-see destination because of its incredible and interesting history. The center includes a museum, five gardens, a library and temporary exhibits. a

The center also includes community events, such as holiday events and summer camps for children. If you have decided to do this type of journey, make sure all attractions are available for you.

Most of the great changes that took place in the history center occurred between 1983 and 1991. For example, the historical society decided to build new facility that would house a large museum and many other things based on professional growth. That’s why its name was changed from Atlanta Historical Society in Atlanta History Center.

The center is renowned through different parades. A few years ago here have been brought some important collections of soldiers uniforms, several weapons and different artifacts, attracting more and more tourists around the world.
The five gardens (Quarry Garden, Cherry Sims Asian American Garden, etc) are another touristic attraction. You could visit it in you free time. An important thing is what you see there, not what another people say about it.

The park’s name comes from spanish meaning “retreat” because Spain was a country where people were hiding. It is also a part of the Buen Retiro Palace which was destroyed with the gardens during the Spanish War when french people came here.
Besides the gardens, whose ruins remained even today, tourists can see spectacular statues from which we could mention the Fallen Angel made by Ricardo Bellver. Once you passed through the main entrance you have the chance to see this unique fountain or statue. Nowadays the park has been renovated with exotic magnolias imported from the south of United States of America.
When you want to visit something pleasant and very enjoyable come here where your family will have fun and will see beautiful gardens as the Rose Garden, one of the most recognized.
Even if in Madrid there are different types of parks, Retiro Park is the one. With natural resources, statues and monuments, the park has an area around 140 hectares.

Being a very popular destination for travellers, the park shelters the plant’s life. Retiro Park is a part of the city’s greatest attractions because it is the place where everyone want to come.
