Madras

Located at the Southern part of India, Tamilnadu is a large state which boasts 9 hundred kilometers of shoreline on the Indian Ocean. Madras is the capital of Tamilnadu, a city rich in history, legends and monuments. Madras is also a city created by the British. It was in the 17th century when the British colonies were already established in the north, obtaining the attractive land along the coast. In a few short years, this British commercial trading coast was believed to be a veritable city which was renamed Madras which will go on to play a major role in the era.

The Tamil people from here are proud of their history and of the originality of the culture. Tamil, their language, is the oldest spoken language in the world.Grat civilizations such as the Palavas and Chola are presented between 4BC and 40th AD.
Today, Madras is the forth largest city boasting a population of 5 million people. Madras has long been an important Southern port. Today, Indian society remains strongly influenced by the high arcal castle system.

Yoga is a discipline that focus on the physical, psychological, spiritual and more aspects of an individual. The discpline must have 10 basic virtues: non violence, truth between individuals, respects for others, detachment, morality, modesty, devotion, etc.
The yoga must follow 8 the stages of training: control of ones breathing, control of pain, meditation, concentration and refusion between the meditator and the object of meditating. This training should eventually allow the student to reach the stage of Samadhi or absolute contemplation and unification with the divinity. The game of cricket was brought to India by the British during the colonisationof the country. England’s national sport became extremely popular in India and today’s matches there are huge crowds of suporters.
