Darien National Park is the largest and the greatest park from Central America with an area of approximately 1,450,000 acres. The park forms a bridge between the two continents having a great variety of beaches, rocky coasts, mangroves, etc hosting several tropical forests.

There are three stations where tourists can camp, but not all of them. They must get a kind of permission to visit it.

However, the Darien National Park has been named as a Biosphere Reserve. The highest place  in the park is Tacarcuna Hill, rising 5,900 feet above sea level. This incredible park hosts a great number of species of animals, birds and plants, most of them being unique in this reservation. There are plants and animals which you will find only here.

Here are some examples of them: ocelot, harpy eagle, ,jaguar, tapir, puma, margay, etc. We can say it’s difficult to reach there because you will rarely see some human traces. Only three people live here, on the top of the Tacarcuna Hill.
