The Benaki Museum is a huge and great place that gives you a panoramic view to this historical museum which is dating since the Stone Age. The museum also hosts more than 20,000 objects situated in 36 rooms in order to show the evolution of the Greek paintings and sculptures.

The Benaki Museum is known as the oldest museum which was established in 1926 by an Athenian family.

About the exhibits, we could say the author concludes the visitors should see anything from a 5,000-year-old hammered gold bowl to a Byzantine icon of the Virgin Mary.

He also states that the gift shop is a 2nd café serves coffee and snacks with a buffet dinner. This museum, due to its fame is believed to have a 5 stars rating.

The Benaki Museum was founded by Antoni Benaki in 1931. Another part of the museum was opened in 2003, while doubling the number of the exhibitions, some new and special exhibitions. This is a very beautiful place if you want to spend some of your free hours. After visiting this museum, you can take in its new branch, Benaki Museum of Islamic Art.
