San Luis Potosi, is a part of the old Silver Mining colonial cities. Some of

A Gothic cathedral from Paris, the capital of France is known to be the Notre Dame de Paris. This cathedral is situated on the eastern part of the Île de la Cité.
In English, Notre Dame means “Our Lady” and it is one of the finest Catholic cahtedral of France. Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, one of the most famous architects of France has prevented and avoided the cathdral from desctruction.
The building has thinner walls, but several issues had appeared when the walls pushed outward. But many measures were taken by the architects of the cathedral, building supports around the outside walls and adding more missing.
Even if in the French Revolution’s time, in 1790 the cathedral suffered several damages on its image, until the 19th century a project of a large restoration was finished.
In the 19th century, the Notre Dame cathedral was almost completely rebuilt. Only in 1992 everything was completed finally.
At the Notre Dame there are even 5 bells. The first is Emmanuel, which is situated in the South Tower, and it has around 13 tonnes.The other 4 bells are moving like a swing. They are used only for festivals and different services.

The Camp Nou stadium is known to be the most famous of all stadiums all over the world. It is often called the “Nou Camp” and it is situated in Barcelona city, from Spain. The Camp Nou stadium is the home of FC Barcelona team since it was constructed, in 1954. The stadium was completed three years later, in 1957 and it was designed by three architects. They were Lorenzo García Barbon , Josep Soteras Mauri and Francesc Mitjans-Miró.
The Cam Nou, or the Nou Camp is also called as a 5-star stadium, and it hosts annually several matches at the senior level and UEFA Champions League finals. The most recent of them were in 1999. The stadium has a capacity about 98,770 seats. Definitely this is the
largest stadium from Europe and the 11th largest from all around the world.
The stadium also includes a chapel for players and a shop with several souvenirs.
The old name of the statiudm was “Estadi del FC Barcelona”. But only until the 2000 year, when it was decided to be turned its official name into a popular nickname. This nickname is the recent “Camp Nou”.

Big Ben, that’s the name given for the greatest bell of the clock which is situated at the northeastern end of the Westminster Palace from London city.
Another nickname is the tower clock because it is famous through its massive and amazing bell. The Big Ben clock has a weight of over 13 tonnes. The clock is known to have the most accurate tiem all over the world.
The clock’s hands are about 2.7 and 4.3 metres long. The clock tower’s length rises up to 96 metres. The Big Ben clock’s chimes have been broadcast since the 1924 year as once per day signal by the BBC. The Big Ben clock have had this year, on May 2009, no more and no less than 150 years of anniversary. It was built at Westminster in 1288, with the Ralph Hengham’s money, who is theChief Justice of the Beach of King.
Most of people are wondering why was the Big Ben Clock built?
The old Westminster Palace was burned on 1834 and ten years later, in 1844, the Parliament had decided that the new buildings for the Parliament’s Houses, should have incorporated a tower clock.
Then, George Airy ,the Astronomer Royal had to make a project for the clock. His required that “the first stroke of the hour bell should register the time, correct to within one second per day, and furthermore that it should telegraph its performance twice a day to Greenwich Observatory, where a record would be kept.”
As a conclusion, the clock has become nowadays the most renowned symbol of UK and London.

The Saint Chapelle was erected by Louis IX in 1241 and it was designed to house religious treasures. It is also known to be one of the most important of the medieval architecture.
If you want to visit it, you should know where it is located: on the Ile de la Cité which is in the center of Paris city.
The king Loius IX tried to find a proper place where he could house the Crown of Thorns and also a fragment of the True Cross. These are relics from the Passion that he had bought 2 years prior from the Baldwin II Emperor. He also paid a price for them, around 135,000 livres, a 4 times amount bigger than the building of the chapel would cost.
Its construction had started in 1242, and it was completed only 6 years later. The Sain Chapelle’s style was after the Gothic architecture. The chapel has also 36 meters length, 17 meters width and 43 meters height.
It was a bad moment after the French Revolution when a big part of the Saint Chapelle was destroyed. It includes even furnitures and stalls. But the most important were the relics, which have been taken from there, as well as nobody could find them again. Only one piece of them was found and it was housed at the Notre-Dame cathedral.
Nowadays, the chapel is dedicated to the Virgin Mary . Even the arched columns were decorated with several medallions for the reason to represent the Apostles.

The Palais Garnier is practically a opera-house which is situated on the Place de l’Opéra from Paris, the capital of France. The Palais Ga
rnier has also a second and a third name, the Paris Opéra and Opéra Garnier.
Also designed by Charles Garnier, the building is known as one of the architectural masterpieces of the Neo-Baroque style. It was also taken in front of the Opera Garnier construction. It is not as easy as tourists think if they want to photograph the interior of the Palais Garnier building.
The Palais Garnier is used for concerts and other performances since it was opened, in 1874 and inaugurated in one year later, in 1875. On the southeastern part of the Palais Garnier you will find the Louvre museum.
Seating 2,130 people, the Paris Opéra or the Opéra Garnier is an architectural treasure for the classical opera of the city and several ballet scenes. On the the inside there is a big hall with a grand staircase.There are even several rehearsal rooms, a library and a museum which hosts many famous exhibits. It is believed to have one of the largest hall from all over the world.
In the 20th century, in 1964, Marc Chagall had decided to paint the ceiling an he got inspired by some of the most famous operas.

The small statue of Liberty from Paris was built in the same way as the Statue of Liberty from New York was, in appreciation for it. They have built a small
replica, which has around 35 feet height. It is situated nearby the Pont de Grenelle, which is a bridge crossing the Seine river. The small Statue of Liberty is also about 1.5 kilometers awat from the South of the Eiffel Tower.
Definitely, if you visit Paris and you walk along the Seine river you will not miss the chance to visit it.
It was made by a very renowned person, Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, which is also a French sculptor. Nevertheless, the statue’s size is only 1/4 of the other Statue of Liberty from New York which is the original. This copy was built later than the other. It’s amazing once you have visited the Paris city and you will see the small statue standing on a small island. From there, you can look down the Seine river. It feels like you’re in New York city.

Vondelpark is considered a very famous and the largest park in Amsterdam,
as well as in the Netherlands. Annually, the park is visited by no less than 10 million visitors. For tourists who come here for the first time, they should know how to orientate on it. The park is nearby the Quarter Museum and in the south part of Leidseplein.
People who come here use it for lounging, socialization and free, exercise, concerts in air or even theatres in summer. Than is the best moment to visit the Vondelpark. During summer time, the theatres are free to the public 5 days per week.
The park is quite a popular place for tourists. Young children have even their own play area where they could rent skate.
The park has been existing since 1864 and in 1877 year Vondelpark was enlarged once the number of tourists has increased. The park’s name was given after the famous Dutch poet, Joost van den Vondel.
It is also an attraction where you can enjoy the nature with natural vegetation and several paths in the center of Amsterdam city. Being built in 1850 and since it has been existing, the Amsterdam’s park offers travellers a large variety of activities such as jogging, biking or picnicking.

Rodin Museum is a very renowned museum by the frech sculptor, Auguste Rodin. It is also situated in the Biron hotel which was built between 1728-1731. The Biron hotel is not as easy to be accessed as it seems. The musuem hosts some of the most important works of this author, including The Thinker and the Kiss’ works who probably have the most renowned family pieces.
His works are exhibited not only in the interior of the musuem, they are even in its gardens. The famous museum is also a chamber of works dedicated by Camille Claudel artist. In its area, the museum has a beautiful lake where tourists could enjoy it. Every traveller who loves the Auguste Rodin’s works should consider this museum as a must see attraction. Auguste Rodin lived between 1840-1917 and he was a preeminent French sculptor of his time. With his modern sculptures, Auguste Rodin’s works expressed something very realistic, not as his predecessors did this.
The Rodin Museum is located in an 18th century mansion, the old buildding where the grand artist lived someday. The building belonged to the Catholic church and after that, to the Paris’ city. Totally, the great artist Auguste Rodin owns more than 5,000 sculptures. But the most important landmark is the The Rodin Museum which is opened every day for tourists. The museum hosts besides the artist’s works several lectures, classes and many events for young children to make them understand what do they really see.

It is also known as “hanging garden of Babylon”, was built by King
Nabucodonsor II for one of his wives, Amytis or Amuhea. There is a legend which says that they were actually built by King Ninus, who founded Babylon and Ninive for his wife Semiramida. Gardens occupied an area of 15,000 sq meters and four terraces were up to 77 m high. On plant growth are many trees that may reach 24 m and were wetted with cylindrical pumps, and the growth rooms were cool to the royal family. The gardens were destroyed by the pers during employment Babylon, but were restored by Nabucodonsor II was the son of Ninus.
After many years in 1899 a German team carried out excavations in Kasr El hill, where ruins of a palace discovers that he was considering his Nabucodonsor and main gate of the city.
